Tillandsia xerographica "Bonsai" is a plant from the Bromeliaceae family with rather thick leaves covered in fine hairs that help the plant capture dew and general humidity. Tillandsia does not draw nourishment from its roots, but from its leaves. The roots, although present, perform no function other than that of support.
