Cephalotus follicularis is a carnivorous plant native to Australia specialized in capturing ants and ground insects. It produces both leaves and carnivorous traps.
Ascidians are round-shaped pitfall traps. A peristome made up of many teeth makes the insects slide inside the trap full of digestive liquid. The cap is variegated with brown streaks.
