Sphagnum cristatum: It is green with yellow hues in winter. It has coarse fiber and exceptional water retention capacity due to its cellular structure. It is a rare sphagnum in cultivation in Europe and comes from the alpine areas of southeastern Australia. This particular specimen is from New Zealand.
