Sauromatum venosum 1 Large bulb
Sauromatum venosum 1 Large bulb
This plant is shipped in bulb form. In spring, it produces an inflorescence that emits a strong, unpleasant odor for a few hours, designed to attract pollinating insects. After flowering, it produces broad leaves supported by leopard-like stems. It grows well in field soil or potting soil with the addition of manure.
It dislikes frost, so the pot or bulb should be kept in a cool but not freezing room, and watering should be suspended during the winter dormancy period. During the growing season, it should be kept slightly moist to wet, but never soaked.
