Sarracenia is a carnivorous plant native to North America, and its range extends from southern Mississippi, through southern Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, to the coastal plains of North and South Carolina. It has a compact growth habit and forms many closely spaced growth points. It is small in size and produces slender traps.
