Sarracenia minor var. okefenokeensis Chesser Island, Georgia

Sarracenia minor is a carnivorous plant that lives in very humid swamps, often the rhizomes are in direct contact with water or grow in clods created by living vegetating sphagnum.
Its roots are in fact thicker and shorter than other sarracenias and have adapted to living in a semi-aquatic environment. The peculiarity of the sarracenia minor is to have a cap that closes the mouth like a bow and on the back of the pitcher there are many white spots.
