The Maranta is a plant that thrives in humid environments, with abundant diffused light but no direct sunlight, and temperatures above 15-16 degrees Celsius. Avoid drafts and proximity to radiators. The ideal soil mix is very well-draining; it does not tolerate standing water. The ideal mix consists of equal parts peat, perlite, and universal potting soil. It is a fast-growing plant, especially in the warmer months, so it is advisable to repot it into a larger container when the plant's roots have filled its current pot. Keep the soil slightly moist in winter and increase misting when indoors. In spring and summer, you can fertilize and water the plant weekly.
