Fittonia "Purple"

Fittonia is a plant for a very humid environment, perfect for very humid terrariums, it must receive filtered artificial or solar light and must stay warm, humidity is fundamental which must always be very high and the plant must not be exposed to drafts. air that deprive it of this high humidity. Having superficial roots, the ideal is to grow it in shallow bowls and not in large pots.
To guarantee high humidity it is advisable to grow the plant on a deep saucer filled with expanded clay which must always be kept humid or inside an almost completely closed bowl/case.
The soil can be composed of peat, perlite and universal soil in equal parts.
