Drosera filiformis var. tracyi Apalachicola Area, Florida USA

Temperate sundews are a group of carnivorous plants that capture small insects like gnats and mosquitoes using adhesive traps.
They are native to humid peat bogs where the climate is hot in summer and very cold in winter.
These sundews have the unique characteristic of defending themselves against the cold by developing a hibernaculum: a compact sphere at the center of the plant formed by modified leaves, with the function of protecting it from freezing.
