This variant of Drosera capensis grows many growth points next to each other in the horizontal direction. Subtropical sundews are carnivorous plants that produce glue drops in the leaf to capture and digest small insects that they feed on. They have adapted to a warm climate similar to the tropical one, however characterized by cool but not harsh winters. However, in cultivation they also resist short frosts withoutany problem.
