Drosera anglica "Giant" Slovenia

Drosera anglica lives in damp peat bogs where the climate is hot in summer and very cold in winter. These sundews have the particularity of defending themselves from the cold by developing a hibernaculum: a compact sphere in the center of the plant made of modified leaves, with the function of protecting itself from frost.
In spring, the hibernaculum opens and produces all the new leaves of the season and several flower scapes.
