Dischidia pectinoides

Epiphytic plant famous as an ant plant. It produces pouch-like leaves where it naturally hosts ants.
Its cultivation is very similar to nepenthes, requiring humid, warm climates and monthly fertilization, especially during the warmer months and periods of maximum plant activity.
It prefers indirect but abundant light throughout the year.
Watering, only with rainwater or distilled water, must be carefully controlled; the soil should be just moist but not soggy.
Watering should be more frequent during the summer and windy season compared to winter when it needs less water. Instead, increase misting with distilled or rainwater. It is a perfect plant for a humid terrarium.
