Dionaea muscipula "GC Leech" Dionaea with an open cup-shaped trap with teeth and a yellow edge. The traps, when properly exposed to the sun, turn red, creating a beautiful contrast with the yellow border. Its large cup shape and its widely spaced but aggressive teeth reminded me of the mouth of a marsh creature ready to pounce on its prey: the leech.
