Byblis gigantea is a perennial outdoor carnivorous plant, even in winter down to zero degrees. Catches midges, mosquitoes and many other small insects. It should be grown in acid peat and perlite or fine quartz. It loves direct sun and should be grown as a subtropical sundew. It does not require too much water in the saucer, especially in winter. A constant 5mm in summer and almost none in winter will be enough, ensuring that the soil remains moist. It produces many roots and the pot should be enlarged as soon as you see them coming out of the pot.
