This plant is able to improve air quality and limit electromagnetic pollution from computers, printers, photocopiers and microwave ovens.

Tillandsia cyanea needs to be watered abundantly, inside the central hollow of the rosette of leaves; from late autumn and throughout the winter, the substrate should be kept slightly humid.

Like all tropical plants, it requires high ambient humidity, so it is advisable to steam the leaves daily from April to September with non-calcareous water.

The fertilizations should be administered in the spring-summer period every 15 days, with a liquid fertilizer for orchids diluted in the irrigation water.

Its inflorescence is bright pink with purple side flowers
